I grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, the city at the tip of Lake Superior. My childhood home sat on top of a hill as steep as a mountain. From there, it seemed as if all things led to or pointed towards the lake.I became mesmerized by the lure of the lake. Every day I got a sweeping view, whether it reflected clear blue skies or was roiling under heavy storm clouds.Lake Superior inspired me to imagine what was taking place beneath the surface of the water, and so the Blue Water series was born.
