OverviewBefore the show Girls there was the play, My Williamsburg Neighbors Downstairs. In a basement studio apartment deep in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn filled with Mies van rer Rohe furniture, an aging musician attempts to get his new band off the ground as he deals with the stress of living with his pontificating drug dealing roommate, his stripper girlfriend and a loud drunk Dominican neighbor. This musician attempts to find art amongst all the chaos and possibly save the relationship with the one girl he ever truly loved. Drugs, duels and rock'n'roll fuel this politically incorrect dark comedy. The play was first produced off off broadway in February 2009 in New York City and cannot be reproduced professionally without the expressed written consent of the author.
