Overview

My Super Family is a book about a six-year-old boy named Cory whose parents are divorced and live in separate homes. Cory explores the normal feelings and questions children have when their parents separate or divorce. Cory has a dog named Spot, who becomes his best friend and helps him through the new transitions they will go through together as a blended family. In the book, Spot explains to Cory about the two new special people who will come into their lives; and that they will be called stepparents. Spot reassures Cory that stepparents are good, and can be very nice and fun too! Cory begins to develop a personal relationship with both of his stepparents, and in the end, Cory realizes that his family, his SUPER FAMILY, is very special to him! This book answers questions, explores feelings, and helps children in blended families find and understand what matters most!
