A mother's account of bringing up two sons who are initially diagnosed as being Haemophiliacs. They are then are found to be HIV positive and have Hepatitis C. In the treatment of their Haemophilia they have been incredibly given contaminated blood products. The book is divided into two parts: Part 1 is where the mother, Elisabeth, describes her upbringing in the Exclusive Brethren and the problems that caused, especially when she decided to leave and her parents cut her off. Part 2 describes the problems of running a family where two sons are in and out of hospital, particularly when they were younger. They have both been at death's door more than once; however, as Elisabeth explains, God has been her strength through all the ups and downs. If you have children with permanent long-term illnesses, read this book to get encouragement.
