She holds a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in Education, as well as advanced licensure as a Reading Specialist.After a long career in education, Dr. Young answered God's call to ministry in 2021, becoming a Licensed Ordained Minister and later a certified Hospice Chaplain.
