OverviewThis book is about my struggles throughout life. These struggles included problems growing up during the Great Depression, fighting discrimination in the workforce during the 1960s, and then having to endure problems with my marriage. I worked for over 40 years for the government in five different agencies, including NASA. I had to fight and break barriers on each job as a Black woman. I had a beautiful marriage, which lasted for 15 years, and a beautiful home with three beautiful children. When my husband got hooked on alcohol all hell broke loose. This led to a nasty divorce and a wild ""breathtaking"" drive across country in a small Pinto with impaired vision, three kids and a dog, and no money. My struggles required breaking barriers and calling on God during life-threatening conditions. To God be the Glory. In my later years, I have been able to enjoy family reunions, play the harp at gigs around the community, work in my ministry, cruise the open seas, and, most of all, enjoy all of my grand and great-grandchildren.
