My Proud Book: A Picture Book on Understanding and Managing Emotions

Overview

In this heartfelt hardback picture book, children can join Lion as he celebrates his achievements and boosts his self-worth. Helping your child to build their self-esteem will make a world of difference to their confidence, resilience, and outlook on life. My Proud Book follows Lion as he learns to feel pride in everyday moments, from mastering new skills like tying shoelaces to helping out at home and showing kindness to others. Along the way, he learns that true pride comes not just from being the best, but from the courage to try new things and the willingness to simply take part. Developed in consultation with a mental health professional Clare Arnold, CAMHS, My Proud Book provides the insight and vocabulary youngsters need to express how they feel and encourages them to talk about their feelings. Including a section on actionable advice for parents and caregivers, it's the perfect way to support children aged 4+. ABOUT THE SERIES The My Feelings series invites young readers to identify and manage their emotions through heart-warming hardback animal stories, developed in consultation with mental health professional, Clare Arnold.
