Lisa Ray is a native Houstonian. She graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School, served four years in the United States Army, then attended Houston Community College striving for a Nursing Degree. She grew up in Southpark, in the Southeast part of Houston, raised by her two parents (Bryant Braggs Sr. and Shirley Braggs). Growing up with her two brothers (Bryant Jr. who died in 2008 and Kenneth Braggs), sisters (Paula Braggs and Laura Chatman). She presently has five children (Latriece Harris, Denisea Clinton, Dartalian Armond Harris, Jesseca Adams, and Jelisa Adams), stepson (Dionte Ray) and seven grandchildren (Tiandrea, Erica, Warren, Gabrielle, Ariyana, Isaiah, and Hosa). God has also blessed her to have a very loving and supportive husband (Alvando Dion Ray). Lisa is devoted and dedicated to serving God and faithfully attends Divine Temple of God Holiness Church, where she is the pastor. She is currently working on her second book which is a collaboration with her husband. Although she has gone through many trials and tribulations throughout her life, she was determined to make what was meant for evil against her, to be an inspiration and bring hope to the lives and hearts of others in which she boldly shares in her first book, My Pearls.
