The play, 'My Mother's wedding' was inspired by actual events that occurred in my life. My mother did get married for a third time and I did pick out a bridal gown for her. However, from there the play took on a life of its own and the ending has come straight from my imagination. I chose the subject matter of marriage breakdown since it is highly topical in our present day society. It affects one in two marriages and there are implications for all involved. The parties to the divorce and those to the marriage. Also the children, the extended family and friends. My Mother's wedding is a tragic thriller mystery and in such a cauldron of emotions, anything can happen...
