Overview

This Story is about growing up as a youth in the early sixties. You will feel like you were right there with him as the boy's love of fishing develops. As the story unfolds you might dream of a time when you the reader might have something magical happen as it did with me. Something that encourages you to focus on a goal or a quest. This story is easy to write because I remember having such a great time growing up. My friends and I did so many things it's almost hard to imagine now as a retired grandpa. But of course now my wife and I know that we are truly blessed to have 8 healthy grandchildren. Memories are the most incredible thing and need to be shared. So I now begin this short story of my youth aged 9 to 11.
