Overview

Who did the first televised makeover? Who promoted his work so often on the Merv Griffin Show and then got suspended by the medical community for self-promotion ? Who survived Kristallnacht and WW2 to become Doctor 90210 ? His breast and chin implant designs are in universal use and his techniques and lifestyle have been the subject of many television, newspaper and magazine pieces. Many Hollywood celebrities can be counted in his cast of over 20,000 patients as well as a litany of plastic surgeons and their families. He is coauthor of How to Win In The Youth Game, Beauty by Design and The War Against Aging, and founder of the American Society of Therapeutic Aesthetic Regeneration and Rejuvenation (net proceeds from your purchase of this book are donated to www.ASTARR.us).

Author Information

Kurt Wagner grew up in the shadow of Hitler's Anschluss and narrowly escaped the fate of his grandparents who were not heard from again after Kristallnacht. Kurt faced discrimination in school and medical school, but rose to become an innovative plastic surgeon. His recommendations created better-shaped breast implants and he introduced the first TV makeover to a national audience in 1971 on the Merv Griffin show. The local medical association shunned him for self-promotion, stunting his practice. He was the original Beverly Hills doctor -- and his tales from 30,000 procedures will have you laughing and sighing. He lives in Boca Raton near his granddaughter.
