This candid memoir is an unfiltered reflection of the life of a woman from a child's perspective to an adult's perspective as a street kid from Gary, Indiana to the university halls in Oxford, England. It is an encompass of finding life's greatest treasures, making peace with the past, being thankful for all the bad things that happen in life, and mostly being thankful for those who have wronged her. A reflection of a life with adventure, learning, heartache, laughter, tragedy, and discovering the deepest love in the defining eight hours that changed the course of her life. Reading about me as a fourth-generation Hungarian/European descendant living in Gary, Indiana, you will be immersed in my story just as much as I was in writing it. This book is a raw and intriguing account of my childhood memories from Gary, Indiana to being accepted into one of the world's finest universities in England, against all of the odds. Nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan, Gary was one of the highest per-capita murderous cities in the United States, and I lived the story to tell about it. This reflection will captivate you as you join me in my journey through a series of short chapters about my life well into my adulthood, as the story unfolds. In my own words, it is a writing style of interactive reading while telling you my defiant story as if you were sitting beside me through the greatest adventures and sorrows in my life.
