I was born and raised in a small town in Missouri until the age of 22 when I decided to enlist in the US Army to do my part and serve my country. There were no talks of wars with Iraq or Afghanistan at the time I was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. My Brigade was undergoing a transformation that would take a new vehicle, known as the Stryker, and learn any ways we could to employ it in combat. When we watched our President announce live that we would be entering Iraq we knew we would be part of the fight! We were to be the first Stryker Brigade to employ this new vehicle in a desert/urban combat environment. During my time with The Tomahawks I deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and once to Afghanistan. I am married to a wonderful woman and we have a beautiful daughter! But that is another story all together.
