I grew up a military brat in Corpus Christi, Texas. I spent a lot of my free time on Pardre Island back when the beach with real dunes. Surfing (when we had waves), teaching surfing lessons for one of the surf board rentals, paddling out to the sandbars when there was no surf and got Sand Dollars and shells to bleach and sell to tourist. My Retirement was 30 yrs. to the date of my Fathers from the Navy.
