Having been born and raised Amish Mennonite, I can vouch for the complete accuracy of these stories. They portray the Amish character, beliefs, and lifestyle precisely. If you want to understand the Amish, you will love this book. Amish drivers have the best outsider view into the Amish community. Want to get to know The Amish better? Read this book. How do I know? I was raised Amish. Thank you, the Amish Potato Very interesting book about someone who drives the Amish people from place to place. The author's writing is wonderfully descriptive and gives insight into Amish life from an ""English"" perspective. With humor, great stories, and an obvious admiration for the Amish people she drives, Ms. Straw has me excited for a sequel! If you are interested in the Amish way of life, this candid and up-close story of driving the Amish is for you. It was interesting from page one to the last page. The author really brings out the character of her Amish friends and shows an up-close and personal glimpse of their lives. Would recommend. I really enjoyed this book, and I can't wait for the next one to come out. It was a great story; you felt like you got to know the characters really well. And you felt like you were there with how well the author described it all. It is a must-read. Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
