Drew spent a total of 10 years as a pastor on Vancouver's Downtown East Side, and two-and-a-half years at the Mustard Seed Street Church in Victoria, and received the 2024 Community Contribution Award from the University of Victoria Athletics Department. Drew and Amelia Shaw live in East Sooke with a cat and two Fabulous Poodles.
