OverviewThis is the second book in the series My Grandma, which are informative and educational books for toddlers and young children who are learning to read. It aims to describe life in other countries by describing the people, animals and plants, which may be quite foreign to little ones who may never have the opportunity to travel. The author illustrated all the images either in watercolour or oil, using photos she took on her many trips to South Africa, including the Kruger National Park. The animals are realistically portrayed and the text is descriptive, although in rhyme. The author's grandchildren were the inspiration for the books in this series. Painting is now her hobby. She has written several medical textbooks and was inspired to write this series of children's books firstly as she lives in France and her grandchildren live in the UK, hence the first book Grandma lives in France. Secondly, her youngest grandchild's keen interest in animals inspired the title of this second book. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
