When Kristina Jones was looking for the next tech company to build after scaling courtbuddy.com nationwide and raising 7 Million in funding, she started with a personal story. When Kristina was 7 she lost her father to cancer and knew one day she wanted to share her story on how she kept the connection to her dad alive. Throughout the process of writing and editing My New Forever Guardian, she landed on an idea to connect kids around the world who have experienced loss to share and heal together. Beatriz Piolla de Mello is a graphic designer and illustrator. She studied illustration and development of 2D concept art, especially at drawing classes, and has experience with painting, drawing and digital art, being familiar with some softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe After Effects, and Painter. She worked at Milton Nakata Studio and also at Tadapix Animated Marketing as an intern. Beatriz studied at SUNY (State University of New York, at Oswego) during a year, as an exchange program. She finished her degree at State University of Sao Paulo, Brazil In Tulsa, Oklahoma, I grew up with two brothers. Storytime, finger-painting and cooking were my favorite class activities when I taught kindergarten in the Tulsa Public Schools. When school starts every year, I want a brand new box of crayons! I love picture book writing, author visits, crayons and dogs! One of my hobbies is solving and creating puzzles.
