Kids Can Cook

Overview

Help your child develop good eating habits by teaching them how to cook. In this brilliant book, beautifully illustrated step-by-step recipes show children how to make delicious and nutritious food. As well as finding out how easy it is to make lots of scrummy things to eat, they'll practise skills like measuring, weighing and counting without even realising it. Packed with ideas for everything from pizzas to pancakes, including breakfasts, snacks, main meals and sweet treats, there's plenty to keep kids busy in the kitchen. AGES: 6 plus AUTHOR: Esther Coombs is a professional illustrator living and working in rural Kent, UK. The inspiration for Plant, Sow, Make & Grow came from the gardening club at her daughter's school (founded by Esther) and a charming series of newsletters/zines, which she produces and illustrates herself in the same informative and approachable style as this book. Esther has also illustrated New York Activity Book and London Activity Book (both published by Button Books).

Author Information

Esther Coombs is a professional illustrator living and working in rural Kent, UK. She is probably best known for drawing buildings; however she also works with domestic objects and more organic 'natural' subjects such as animals, plants and people. She is also the illustrator for 'Plant, Sow, Make & Grow' - her inspiration for this came from the gardening club at her daughter's school (founded by Esther) and a charming series of newsletters/zines, which she produces and illustrates herself in the same informative and approachable style as this book. Esther has also illustrated 'New York Activity Book' and 'London Activity Book' (both published by Button Books).
