Reviews

“The most awaited storybook for Ramadan this year” - Nurul Huda MJ “Once again, Sara Khan pushes the standard of what can be conveyed and presented in a toddler board book. This book on Ramadan not only introduces concepts of the blessed month to our little Muslims, but also provides details that will allow the book to stay relevant even as a child grows. The soft, yet colorful pages allow the book to be engaging and attention holding for ages 2 and up, and provide a great way to get young children looking forward to Ramadan, as well as be read repeatedly during the month. The 26 thick pages have facts and questions about Ramadan at the end, which make the book shareable with non Muslims and the many shapes, colors, cultures, and ages that make up our Muslim communities fill the pages that radiate with joy and love.” - Islamicschoollibrarian.com “Beautifully written and illustrated” - EidParty.co.uk  “Every child needs this book as their first introduction to the blessed month of Ramadan” - @thepearltent   “Truly, the perfect book to introduce children to the month of Ramadan. Sara Khan’s words capture the essence and beauty of Ramadan in the simplest form” - @homeschool_with_me   “Absolutely stunning book which captures the warm, magical vibes of Ramadan perfectly with its beautiful text and illustrations” - @pilgrimpegdolls “This has to be my new favourite Ramadan board book… It does an excellent job of capturing Ramadan in such a dreamy, wondrous way. The simple language is perfect for toddlers to understand, but there is enough text for young ones to enjoy. The soft style of illustrations is stunning. This is a book for every Muslim household and library” - @MuslimKidsBookNook

Author Information

Sara Khan was born in Stuttgart, Germany, before moving to the UK at the age of 12. Fluent in German, Arabic and Urdu, Sara is both a bestselling author and a qualified translator. She holds a first-class BA (hons) in Linguistics and Arabic, as well as a MA in Translation and Interpreting Studies both from the University of Manchester. As part of her degree, Sara lived in Amman, Jordan, with her husband Naveed, and studied Arabic at the University of Jordan. Living in Jordan enabled them to travel across the Middle East and experience numerous Muslim cultures, traditions, and historic sites in places such as Cairo, Damascus, Jerusalem, Madinah and Makkah. Her postgraduate research focused on Qur'an translation and adaptation for children. Now the proud mother of a little girl called Raya, Sara aims to build upon her academic background and personal experience to help fill the gap when it comes to presenting Islam to toddlers and young children in an age-appropriate way.
