Best known for her role in the hit 1950s TV sitcom I Love Lucy, she also starred in radio shows and appeared in dozens of films and television shows throughout her career, winning numerous awards, including three Emmy Awards, the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award, and in 1987 a Lifetime Achievement Award in Comedy. Richard Denning (1914-1998) was an American actor who began his career in radio, starring with Lucille Ball in My Favorite Husband. He appeared in such iconic films as The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Day the World Ended, and An Affair to Remember. Though best known for his work in the science fiction genre, he had roles in numerous films and television shows. In 1960, he was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
