Author Information

Christian Ackerman is a Los Angeles-based producer, writer, and director who began his career as a production assistant at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Ever since, he has gone on to produce over 25 feature films including Portal, Deadly Reunion, Bethany, Mistress Hunter, Stalked By My Doctor: Patient's Revenge, Stalked By My Doctor: A Sleepwalker's Nightmare, and Family Vanished. In 2019, Slayer: The Repentless Killogy was released in 1500 theaters featuring two music videos he co-produced for the band Slayer. As a director, Christian's short films have won over 30 film festival awards with 50+ nominations. In 2018-2019, his production company/publishing house Black Vortex Cinema released a trilogy of books of essays by 150 horror film legends and luminaries under the My Favorite Horror Movie moniker, along with their award winning first production, Our Next Caller (starring Eric Roberts).
