As an adoptee, it is refreshing to see a picture book that encourages families to love all parts of the family. Tina's work to center an adoptee's voice offers a beautiful view of how care and communication can help adopted children flourish with openness. -Melissa Guida-Richards, author of What White Parents Should Know About Transracial Adoption My Family Tree Has Roots is a sweet, empowering story that lovingly tackles the dynamics of an adopted child's family tree. -Noreen Paulson, author of Benny's True Colors and What's Silly Hair Day with No Hair Tina Mowrey has written a beautiful story that shows how children can struggle to reconcile their connection with their biological and adoptive families in something as simple as a school assignment. She found a way for Jasmyn to honor everyone who has helped shape her life. This story will provide adoptive children with a sense of pride and integrity. As an adoptive parent, I consider this book a must-read with adoptive children. -Andrea Bright-Fontana, foster/adoptive parent
