My Daddy's Big Boots Inspired by the events of an actual childhood day by the author. This is a story about a little boy trying to fit into his daddy's big boots, and with one giant ""hop"" he leaps into them. A few wobbles later, and he is running and playing ""cowboy"". He knows that his daddy takes real good care of his boots, so he returns them to the place where he found them before his daddy returns home. With polish cloth in hand, and a little boy at his footstool, the daddy begins to polish and buff out all the scratches that were surely put there by the little boy from earlier play, yet the love between them needs no extra polish! A reflection of a heartfelt story by that same little boy - many years later, and with feet still too small... to fill those great big boots.
