Author Information

Sam Sidiqi is a proud father as well as an author. His books are inspired by the curious questions and everyday conversations he has with his daughter. He is also the founder of Afghan Peaks, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding outdoor access and building opportunities for young people in Afghanistan's mountains. This work led him to become the first Afghan national to summit both Mount Everest and Denali as part of his journey. Sam lives in southeastern Pennsylvania, where he continues answering his daughter's big questions, sharing adventures, and encouraging young readers to explore their own mountains with courage and wonder. Forrest Miller is an illustrator and painter based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Originally from Bay City, he studied art at Western High School and Delta College before earning his Illustration degree from Kendall College of Art & Design in 2013. He has since built a wide-ranging creative career, producing artwork for clients across the country-including children's book illustrations, album and book covers, apparel designs, logos, and more. Forrest is also a professional court sketch artist, and his work has been featured on CNN, CBS, ABC, The Daily Mail, The New York Post, and numerous local news outlets. From his Grand Rapids studio, he brings stories to life with imagination, craft, and a deep love for visual storytelling.
