This is a deeply personal memoir by the doyen of applied economics in the United States. His name is indelibly linked to the creation, expansion, and refinement of employment policy and human resource needs from 1935 to the present. Eli Ginzberg has been a longtime consultant to the federal government, including nine presidents. Author Information

Eli Ginzberg (1909-2002) was A. Barton Hepburn Professor Emeritus of Economics and director of the program on Conservation of Human resources at Columbia University. He is the author of more than eighty books (many published by Transaction)--all with a human resource policy impact.
