My Book of Quirky Animals: A Photography and Graffiti Guide for Kids Up to 120 Years Old

Overview

Welcome to the book of quirky animals, a collection of 130 photographs of European animals and of graffiti. This one is a book for children from very early ages up to centenarian kids. A book full of comments intended to make children and parents discover a wide variety of animals, both domestic and wild. Most animals are domestic and farm animals of Ireland. What animals can you expect to see?. A good collection of ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, dogs, cats, butterflies, caterpillars, bees, beetles, cows, rabbits, magpies, crows, hens, cockerels, geese, lizards, snails, sea animals and then fantasy animals in the graffiti pictures. Some pictures are very quirky indeed. Kids like strange images too.The book is both arty and entertaining, designed to be contemplated and read by parents or adults to children and intended to make them reflect on the images presented. Most images are happy ones with some sad moments. No animal is shown dead (except for a skull of a goat with long horns) while some are photographed in their cages on the Sunday market. Generally speaking, all animals seem to enjoy life. The images are also a good departure point for shared reflections on the nature of animals, freedom, life, death, and environmental issues. There is a comment under each image to be read aloud, if the adult or the kid wants so.The graffiti have been painted in different countries: Ireland, Germany, France, and Poland. I have improved the graffiti images by way of coloring them. Many of them may have disappeared by now.I am grateful both to the animals here depicted and to the the wonderful artists that have painted the graffiti.I hope that you will enjoy the contemplation of these images.
