"J. Mason Kent and Savannah Smith Kent are first time authors and new to parenting. In 2021, their son Reece passed away during birth. Through faith, friendship, and hope, they were able to conceive a child, Brooks, through surrogacy. J. Mason Kent is a pediatric oncology and hematology physician assistant (associate) in Baton Rouge, where he met his wife, Savannah.
