OverviewMuslim Friday Prayer is a treasury of timeless advice and information to help Muslims experience the beauty of Islam through the Friday prayer. Once a week, believers gather in the masjid, wearing their best clothes and putting forward their best manners, to be reminded of all that Islam offers them; spiritual peace, intellectual enlightenment, and social dignity. In this collection of khutbahs given by Dr. Munawar Haque at the American Muslim Diversity Association masjid in Michigan, believers are invited to reflect upon enduring topics that are relevant for all people at every stage of life: hard work, sincerity, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (SAS), pride in the deen of Islam, and most importantly, the pleasure of Allah (SWT) and success in the hereafter. The book also includes instructions for beginners on how to conduct a Jumu'ah prayer, including basic fiqh (legal rulings), advice for navigating differences of opinion and special situations, as well as tips for those who are new to giving khutbahs along with Arabic text and English translations of commonly used prayers. Written in a clear and friendly style, this book is an ideal resource for anyone establishing and conducting the Friday prayer in their community.
