OverviewIn time for the bicentennial of Abraham Lincolns birth, Anne Enslow and Ridley Enslow present a CD of 19th-century music written for or about Lincolncampaign songs, songs to raise recruits for the Army, dance tunes named for Lincoln, Civil War songs he loved, and laments for his passing. Most of this music was drawn from the original sheet music, now in the Library of Congress. On this CD, we feature pianist Jacqueline Schwab, whose distinctive style will be immediately recognizable to anyone who watched Ken Burns's popular 1990 documentary on the Civil War. Included with the CD is 12 pages of liner notes which contain black-and-white illustrations. A teacher's guide is available at www.enslow.com.
