Wendy R Laing is an author who resides in Deloraine, Tasmania. Over the past few years she has served as the president of the Society of Women Writers Tasmania, during which time she wrote and published several notable works, including Memoirs of an Arresting Woman, Outback Cop, A Manor of Murder, and A Deadly Manor. Although she retired from the position of president, she continues to compile and edit the bi-monthly Stylus newsletter for the society.The Dimpy Gruar Mystery series follows the adventures and investigations of Margaret 'Dimpy' Gruar, an octogenarian who resides in the Mountain View Residential Manor in Kinross, a fictional town in northern Tasmania.
