Overview

When the owner of a garish mansion is found dead the morning his home is set to be featured on the home tour in the old historic Phoenix neighborhood of Encanto-Palmcroft, the police investigating the death rule it inconclusive. However the ladies of the neighborhood book club believe the evidence leaves room for suspicion of murder. Familiar with the neighborhood eccentrics and the stories that define their lives, they find themselves uniquely positioned to investigate when the police shelve the case. An escaped ocelot and a former stripper offer unexpected clues about the event of the night before the home tour.
