Overview

Lunar residents call Shackleton the wild west. The settlement, still under construction at the moon's south pole, is populated by roughnecks who came to the moon for the huge salaries. Lunar Enforcement Captain Halolani Makai and her team of security guards manage to keep the peace at the settlement. Then a barroom brawl turns deadly. Worse, the camera covering that part of the bar is conveniently broken. Did the killer take advantage of an opportunity to commit murder? Or was the fight planned as a cover all along? Halolani calls Chief Jared Pearce to Shackleton to help with the investigation. They begin to unravel a far bigger threat than one desperate killer.
