Overview

This book critically considers how the lives and spiritual experiences of mixed-race people can transform efforts toward racial and planetary justice. It develops a new spiritual formation program for mixed-race people aimed at supporting them in an increased awareness of inner resources and healing capacities for the purposes of strengthening collective efforts to tend to the devastating effects of racism and racial oppression in North America.

Rev. Dr. Aizaiah G. Yong serves in the administration and the Assistant Professor of Spirituality for Claremont School of Theology. He is an ordained Pentecostal Christian minister within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a recognized facilitator in the practice of Engaged Compassion, and is currently training to become an Internal Family Systems Practitioner. Growing up in a multiracial and immigrant family, he is committed to sustaining transformational and collective efforts that address ongoing realities of social oppression with presence, passion, and peace.
