Author Information

Dr. Priyadarshini Pattanaik is a Sr. lecturer at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation in Germany. Her research skills are primarily in quantitative analysis and developing machine learning algorithms with deep neural networks and graphical models for visual computing, including medical image analysis and disease detection. She worked as a postdoctoral scientist at IMT Atlantique, France, in the Image and Information Processing department of the LaTIM research group, focusing on developing concepts and tools to address one of the great challenges of the Musculoskeletal (MSK) field: understanding and exploiting the link between the shape and function of a joint (2020-2022). She also worked as a postdoctoral fellow in collaboration with a range of academic institutions and industrial partners, such as Télécom SudParis, the University of Saclay, a team from the Centre for Mathematical Morphology of Mines ParisTech, and the company TRIBVN (2019). In March 2019, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis, which focuses on the use of machine learning for classifying microscopic blood smear images to detect malaria early. She has numerous publications in high-impact SCI and Scopus-indexed research journals and conferences. Dr. Pushan Kumar Dutta has been actively engaged in multidisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and sustainable development. His work includes developing intelligent control systems for renewable energy sources, such as solar panels and fuel cells, and energy management strategies for smart grids and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Dr. Dutta& research activities have resulted in many publications in prestigious journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. His work has been widely cited, demonstrating its impact and relevance in the scientific community. Moreover, his research has been supported by industry collaborations, patents, and practical implementations, underscoring its real-world applicability and potential for societal impact. He has edited over 20 books for prestigious publishers such as Springer, Elsevier, and CRC, and published over 100 articles in Scopus-indexed journals and conferences. He has also received several honours and awards, such as the Young Faculty in Engineering award in 2018. He is a member of the technical programming committee for various prominent conferences and a keynote speaker at international events. He also coordinates sports and innovation competitions at his university and mentors’ students and young innovators. Dr. Sachi Nandan Mohanty is a distinguished academic and researcher, currently serving as a Professor at VIT-AP University, Andhra Pradesh. He has been recognized among the Top 2% of World Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier from the years 2022 to 2024. Dr. Mohanty earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2015, supported by an MHRD scholarship, and completed his postdoctoral research at IIT Kanpur in 2019. His research interests encompass data mining, big data analysis, cognitive science, fuzzy decision-making, brain-computer interfaces, and computational intelligence. He has authored or edited 42 books published by renowned publishers such as IEEE-Wiley, Springer, Wiley, CRC Press, NOVA, IGI Global, Elsevier, and DeGruyter. Dr. Mohanty has published 241 papers in international journals of repute with 8000-plus citations and an H-index of 42, and he has guided nine Ph.D. scholars and 23 postgraduate students. Throughout his career, he has received several accolades, including four Best Paper Awards during his Ph.D. studies and the Best Thesis Award from the Computer Society of India in 2015. He has been granted international travel support four times by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to present his research at global conferences. Dr. Mohanty holds fellowships and memberships in esteemed professional bodies, including the FELLOW of the Institute of Engineers (India), and Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Senior member of the IEEE Computer Society Hyderabad Chapter, and INAE. He also serves as the General Chair of international conferences such as ICISML and AIHC and is the Editor-in-Chief of the EAI Transactions on Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning Applications.
