She holds a doctorate in Science Education from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She has designed and co-designed several professional learning sequences and tools for in-service and preservice teachers, including the Adaptive Cycle of Teaching (ACT) model for science instruction. Dr. Ko has also been the principal investigator on multiple projects supported by the National Science Foundation to advance science teachers’ pedagogical skills in elementary and middle school classrooms.
