ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Marla Buchanan is the author of the memoir, RESCUE IN ARABIA: A True Story of Abduction, Tragedy and Hope, which recounts her eldest son's international parental child abduction, and her travel to Saudi Arabia to bring him home. She has also written several books of strange and unusual short non-fiction, science fiction and horror. MULBERRY MAY BELLE is her first children's book. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR: Michele Champion has been doing all forms of art since childhood. Watercolor is definitely her favorite. She attended Rock Valley College with a focus on art and took a hiatus to raise her two children. With the praise and support of close friends and family, she began painting again and has shown in the Rockford, Illinois, art scene. She has several more shows scheduled.
