Overview

Representing analyses of a wide range of archaeological themes, Muge 150th: The 150th Anniversary of the Discovery of Mesolithic Shellmiddens is divided into two separate volumes, the first of which focuses on Mesolithic finds in both the Muge and Sado valleys and includes a general synthesis on the current state of specific topics including the use of isotopes in diet determination and migration; settlement and subsistence; technology; plant use; burial practices; social complexity; and research history. The second volume brings together a series of papers on the Mesolithic period as a whole and its transition to the Neolithic all over Europe.
