Overview

Lane Smith is a widower raising an eight-year-old daughter with help and advice from his mother-in-law, May. Lane is pushed to begin dating again, and May has Riley Beck in mind. Lane doesn't feel ready to put himself out there. But Marly Gibbs, a Chicago native, arrives and catches his eye. Chaos ensues when Marly and Riley vie for Lane's attention. Lane's overactive imagination only adds to the turmoil. May becomes not only a trusted advisor to Lane, but a referee in the fight for his love. Lea, Lane's daughter, has already chosen her heroine, and pushes her father in that direction. It is a wonderful tale of love, friendship, and family. With just the right portion of insanity thrown in for good measure.
