His father joined the Santa Barbara Motorcycle Club in 1936 and campaigned Santa Barbara's first 80-cubic-inch Harley-Davidson at its race events. While listening to the stories and recollections of his father's surviving friends, Ed Langlo vowed to preserve this part of history on film as well as in print. Coauthor Tony Baker is an amateur historian with three Arcadia publications to his credit. Baker lives in Ventura, California, and is involved in motorsports archiving.
