His main research interests focus on motivational processes in physical education and the development of intervention programs for physical education teacher education (PETE). Katrien De Cocker is an assistant professor in the Department of Movement and Sports Sciences at Ghent University, Belgium. De Cocker has extensive research experience in developing, evaluating, and implementing theory- and evidence-based (digital) interventions in the field of health and physical activity promotion. Her current research focus is understanding and improving (de)motivating teaching styles to support students in their learning and development. David González-Cutre is a senior lecturer in the Department of Sport Sciences at Miguel Hernández University of Elche, Spain. His line of research focuses on the development of educational and motivational strategies for physical activity promotion. He has contributed to the knowledge of the motivational variables that allow optimizing interventions in the field of physical education, sports and physical exercise.
