Reviews

"This book introduces the concept of motion with clarity and simplicity. Color photographs on almost every page, most featuring children, create a connection with young readers that is sure to build interest. In true scientific fashion each concept builds on the one before it, flowing easily from motion to force to speed. For the older end of the age range, there are ""Fun Fact!"" boxes scattered throughout the text. A hands-on age-appropriate activity is included at the end, which demonstrates some of the concepts just discussed. With a table of contents, glossary, bibliography, index, and a parent-friendly Internet site, this would be a useful addition to early elementary science shelves in classroom or library. This book is part of ""Our Physical World"" series in the ""First Facts"" series.-- ""Children's Literature Comprehensive Database"""
