She is the mother of three sons and one daughter, and the mother-in-law of three daughters-in-law and one son-in-law. At present, she has five grandchildren, four grandsons and one granddaughter. She currently teaches first grade and in her spare time she enjoys her passion for writing. She has written over twelve children's books as yet unpublished. She is a certified Emergency Medical Technician for over fifteen years, having served as a volunteer on the ambulance in her town of Tolland, for thirteen of those years, and on the Board of Directors for eight.
