Author Information

Paul Motwani is a chess journalist, coach and teacher. He won the World Under-17 Championship in 1978, ahead of Short, Hjartarson and many other famous players. In the same year he became the youngest ever Scottish Champion - a title he has won on four subsequent occasions. He became Scotland's first grandmaster in 1991.
