Allen Davidson earned his PhD in the Historical Study of Religion from Emory University and an MA in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He retired after teaching philosophy as a member of the Religion Department at Shaw University. He also taught at Meredith College and Georgia Southern University.
