Overview

One night while whispering a wish to the sky, Morkel the Turtle's wish comes true: He finds a friend, who happens to be a wet teddy bear. Spoiled Thayne Turtle, despite all his sunken pirate treasure, realizes he wants what Morkel has: happiness. Together they discover maybe there is more to being happy than just having a lot of stuff. "Heidi Crawford-Ruiz knew from a young age that she wanted to be a writer, after meeting the inspiring Bill Peet in the sixth grade. After winning the title of Mrs. America 2004, she passed on her crown and put on her writer's hat and got to work.
