What GOOD is POETRY? asks the Poet - then somehow the Poet SHOWS us. A poem comes to you when you need it, she says. (Whether in your own words, or in another's.) Let these poems take you to a panoramic view of life and love, tears and triumph, moments we've all undergone as we challenge the very resilience of the Human Spirit. There will be a Poem here (or two) that has your name on it. ...Maybe more. Come with the Poet to a new vantage point. Haven't you wanted to pass through valleys to a mountaintop vista? Haven't you climbed hard to reach a place where you can survey what lies ahead... and not give up? Haven't you hungered to rise above the clouds? Or just lay your knapsack down and breathe easy for a while. LISTEN ! Do you hear those echoes? They're YOUR stories, YOUR songs, YOUR yearnings and remembrances... filtered through the Poet's lens. Why travel through these pages with the Poet? (We all need to know ourselves better. And no one can make it alone. Come take my hand.) May you find your strength as you climb. And at last - high above the plain, in reach of that far-off horizon - let us catch the distant eagle's wingspread, soaring lofty in promise of Better Times... and Poems Just When You Need Them.
