Moonbeam Tracks is a collection of poems for children of all ages that aims to capture the imagination and enchantment of childhood. It is a set of unrelated ""word pictures"" with accompanying illustrations. Some of the subjects are real, while others are imaginary, but all are designed to celebrate our wonderful world and the creatures in it.

Author Information

The author, of Icelandic and German heritage was born in a small town in the province of Saskatchewan in the middle of the Canadian prairie. It was a care free life spent close to the land. During the long winter evenings she read extensively and it was through this that she developed a love of poetry. Her early education was in a small country school where she shared a classroom and teacher with three other grades. Further schooling led to tertiary studies, a medical degree from McGill University in Montreal and later, a specialist qualification. Her career was spent practising in teaching hospitals. It was on moving to Australia with her daughter, son and Australian husband that she encountered a very different natural environment and a whole new set of bush creatures. She lives in Melbourne with her husband. She has a daughter, daughter in law and three grandsons. Her leisure interests include gardening, music, travel and handicrafts.
