Dave Murchie is a nationally-published crossword constructor and creator of the weekly feature Murchie's Monday Fills. In addition to the web and mobile devices, his puzzles appear periodically in books, newspapers, magazines, and on placemats. In 2006, after finishing in the Top 250 at the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament (249th out of 498 entrants), Mr. Murchie announced his official departure from the competitive solving circuit and retired to a quiet fishing village in southern New England.
