June 18, 2015 From: Irene Noriega, MSgt, USAF - 52 DS/MDG Subject: Sound Chart/CD Validation I have had the privilege and honor of having Mrs. Lahoma Hendrix educate two of my sons, Carlos (2nd grade) and Alex (1st grade) at Bitburg Elementary School (Germany). During her time as main educator for my children, Mrs. Hendrix not only did a phenomenal job of providing a healthy learning environment but also provided a Sound Chart/CD for both of my boys to use at home. 3-5 times a week each boy would listen to the CD and use the chart to follow the sounds. The process only took minutes and proved to be helpful as it increased their reading levels. Both of my boys has some academic delays and this CD/chart program was very helpful. Both Carlos and Alex became very familiar with reading and pronouncing the sounds I would highly recommend this tool be used in schools more often. As a parent of 3 young boys, I plan to use this chart/CD for my youngest who has yet to begin kindergarten. History has shown what a helpful tool this program is. MSgt Noriega
